Drummer's Song (Photo by Dana Davis) Dimensions: 12 in. wide, 44 in. tall (Sold) This free-standing totem houses an African split drum. The textiles are Indian silks and African Kuba cloth. On top of the Drummer's stick is perched a bird's head I sculpted, similar to the bird perched on the Drummer's head. I enjoy the close proximity of the three inner faces, perhaps reflecting the three inner voices dictating the beat of the Drummer's song. |
