Sorcerer's Apprentice (Photo by Dana Davis) Dimensions: 24 in. wide, 40 in. tall (Sold) The Apprentice is made form an old Burmese puppet I unclothed and restrung. Then I tattooed it with languages from around the wold and created a new face and hair-do. The Apprentice is embodied in its teacher's protective folds, learning the universal language of dance. The totem has layers of languages covered with layers of rice and mulberry paper. The bone rings pull strings to make the puppet dance. |
